John Tanner

Mr. Tanner was a representative from Tennessee for 22 years. While in Congress, he served on the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on Ways and Means, and was one of the founders of the Blue Dog Democrats. Additionally, Rep. Tanner served as President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. As a member of Congress, Tanner was a strong advocate of balancing the budget and paying down the debt.
